Taylor Mac Plays the MACC

Sunday, January 25, 2009

Taylor Mac, who has been named one of New York's Best theater artists by The Village Voice, New York Press, and Time Out New York, brings his brilliant talents to the McCoy Studio Theater.

A flamboyant chameleon of words, music, and sociopolitical tirades, visual and vocal phenomenon, Mac employs gender-bending surrealism and dry wit to create his one-man theatrical extravaganza.

Mac has appeared as a solo guest performer for BBC2's THE LATE EDITION and BBC4's THE CULTURE SHOW as well as for Fischerspooner (Irving Plaza), Nina Hagen (The Marque), The Dresden Dolls (The Brooklyn Lyceum), the Olivier Award winning C'EST DUCKIE , WEIMAR NY (at Joe's Pub, The Spiegletent, and the San Francisco MOMA), Karen Finley's MAKE LOVE (FEZ), and in literally hundreds of other venues and shows.

His upcoming projects include the creation of a two-man show with Broadway legend Mandy Patinkin.
